A Unique Founding Opportunity

The British International School Cabo Verde (BISCV) is seeking to appoint multiple Primary Teachers (Year 1–Year 6) to join our founding team ahead of opening in September 2026.

BISCV is a new British international school located in Palmarejo Baixo, Praia, an affluent seafront neighbourhood, within a striking coastal property designed to deliver a high-quality learning environment.

We are part of an established international education group alongside the British International School Gambia (BISG) and the British International School Dakar (BISD). Following its success, the group has been invited to expand into Cabo Verde to establish the first British international school in the country.

About BISCV

BISCV will be the first British international and English-medium school in Cabo Verde, delivering the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum.

We are intentionally small by design, with limited class sizes, ensuring a highly personalised and high-impact learning environment.

The Role

Primary Teachers will:

• Teach across specialist subjects across Years 1–Year 6
• Deliver the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum which is mainly based on the English National Curriculum.
• Establish high standards of learning, behaviour, and classroom culture
• Contribute to curriculum development in a founding school
• Work collaboratively within a new international team

Candidate Profile

• Recognised degree and teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
• Experience in a UK, Commonwealth, or reputable international school
• Strong primary teaching experience
• High expectations and strong classroom practice
• Flexible, proactive, and excited by a founding school environment
• Strong ICT skills
